American Legion Post 52 presents donations throughout the year to several organizations that serve local veterans and their families. As a result of their many fundraising activities during the year, donations are made to Country Santa, Elevate Audiology, Pickens County Meals on Wheels, and more. American Legion is the nation’s largest and most powerful organization for U.S. wartime veterans and their families. American Legion Post 52 is one of 13,000 posts throughout the nation and they serve their mission which is to support veterans, families, and communities. They work diligently to raise funds with fundraisers throughout the year to benefit non-profits that serve the young, seniors, veterans, and animals. With the support of their dedicated veteran volunteers, they impacted many more in each year. They provided scholarships to boys' states and girls' states. They have donated to the Salvation Army, United Christian Ministries, Country Santa, Pickens County Toys for Tots, Pickens County Humane Society, and Pickens County Meals on Wheels. They have honored the fireman, police, and deputy sheriff of the year, and helped to sponsor the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Easley. They also annually host a Wreaths of America Ceremony.
