While it remains uncertain of what the coming school year will look like, South Carolina’s annual Tax Free Weekend will still be held in August. This annual Sales Tax Holiday was established to help families prepare for the school year and includes a variety of items for school, home, and personal use. South Carolina’s annual Sales Tax Holiday is August 7-9, 2020 when shoppers can purchase school supplies, computers and technology, most clothing and accessories, and certain bed and bath items without paying Sales Tax.
