This year's event will be bigger and better than ever, as the Friends are celebrating their 15th year of service, striving to ensure that no child in Pickens County goes without the love, care, and necessities to have a safe, happy, and healthy childhood. The event will run from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at beautiful Arran Farm, 820 Lenhardt Road, Easley, SC. The fare for the event is all-you-can-eat roasted oysters and a buffet of some low country favorites, as well as adult beverages, all included in with admission. The event will also feature, music, football on big screen, one of the largest silent auction in the upstate, raffles, bonfire and much more. What better way to enjoy a fall evening and support the neglected and abused children of our community! Serving as Honorary Chair of the Oyster Roast will be Davey Hiott, SC House Representative, District 4, and he personally wishes to invite you to join him in supporting this worthwhile event! Ticket prices are $50 individually and $90 per couple; with a limited number of tickets available at the door for $75 each; and may be purchased online at www.friendspcgal.org. Our mission is simple: to provide holistic support to abused and neglected children and court appointed volunteers for the Pickens County Guardian ad Litem program, encompassing volunteer-centric events and community awareness. All Proceeds from the evening will go directly to funding the Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem programs. Programs funded include annual Heart & Sole Back to School Shopping, new clothes closet for children coming in to placement, annual Children Spring Fling, and numerous other requests for the children. "The number of children that are eligible to receive back to school clothing increased over 60% in the past two years, resulting in potential expenditures of the programs being over $25,000" – said Chairperson Tammy Clark. Your patronage makes these worthy outreach programs possible. The Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem Program is a 501c3 all-volunteer charitable organization that has been serving children since 2002.
