The City of Easley Celebrates Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Of Doodle Trail Extension The City of Easley celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new Doodle Trail extension on Saturday, April 1. The long awaited extension brings The Doodle Trail that connects Easley to Pickens into Downtown Easley. Opening in May of 2015 The Doodle Trail follows the former Doodle Line for just over 8 miles and includes 2 bridges along the trail. In September 2016, The Pickens Rotary Club and Easley Rotary Club dedicated a rest stop for bicyclist and walkers at the halfway mark on the Doodle Trail. The rest stop is complete with a semi-circular pull off with 2 benches, also a trail map under a covered kiosk. If minor adjustments need to be made your bicycle, there is a bicycle repair rack is there for use. There are many great things that have happened to The Doodle Trail and many great things to come in the future, with a plan for Doodle Park complete with restrooms on the Easley side of the trail.
