For Immediate Release Miracle Hill Ministries Makes Economic and Social Impact With New Powdersville Thrift Store Easley, SC (November 7, 2016) – Miracle Hill Thrift Operations, a non-profit social enterprise that contributes nearly one million dollars annually toward Miracle Hill Ministries’ shelters and programs for the homeless, is expanding its reach across the Upstate with the opening of its ninth thrift store. A grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016, 8:30 a.m. at 3625 Hwy. 153 in Powdersville (agenda attached). “On behalf of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce and our Powdersville Business Council, we are excited to celebrate the completion of this project for Miracle Hill Ministries,” said Cindy Hopkins, President of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. “Their new retail store is a great addition to our business landscape as it will contribute positively to our economic growth by creating new jobs, generating new tax revenue, and helping meet the human service needs of our community. We are grateful for our partnership with Miracle Mill Ministries and we welcome them to Powdersville,” added Hopkins. The grand opening event at the new 23,000 square foot store will include on-site stylists to personalize the shopping experience, 25% off all purchases, and a runway fashion show featuring local celebrities including WSSL 100’s Beth Bradley, Studio 62’s Jamarcus Gaston and His Radio’s Alison Storm. The store has been stocked with high quality clothing, furniture and home goods that will be sold at competitive prices. Doors will open at 9 a.m. Regular business hours will be Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. “We’re excited to be a part of the Powdersville community. Not only are we providing employment opportunities but also an opportunity for residents to make donations and partner with Miracle Hill in the work of restoring lives,” said John Fiedler, Director of Miracle Hill Thrift Operations. “The majority of the employees we’ve hired are from Powdersville.
